Because goodness knows I haven't done this enough already. =w=
Anyway, let's get right down to it then. This is the
#1-Hr-WRITING-Contest. If you don't know what it is, head over to the group to find out more.
Basically, you have one hour to write a little story using the characters and prompt I give. The winner gets to be the next host, picking any of their pre-existing characters or making up new ones just for the occasion; but they MUST be COMPLETELY original, no fandom or fan characters.
Character(s) 
Delwen (female)(witch)
Age: 13 (she says she's older but people usually don't believe her.)
Appearance: White hair, purple eyes, exact shades up for artistic license. Her hair is long and she has bangs; sometimes she leaves it down, but a lot of times she'll bully Jonah into braiding it for her. :3 She's a little thing, which is why people generally think she's YOUNGER than she is and don't believe her when she says she's 16.
Personality: Feisty. She thinks she knows everything, and thinks everybody should think the way she does, and if they don't then they're wrong. As such she has a hard listening to other people earnestly and obviously this can cause problems. Deep down she has a good heart though, even if her every day application of her morals is a bit shaky. Tends to be fairly optimistic.
Additional Info: She's a witch and is training to learn how to properly use her magic (or as she would say, to "become the most fearsome and beautiful crafter of magic ever to grace mortals with her presence!"). She is an apprentice to an old and wise witch, though she seldom listens to her.
Jonah (male)(deceased-ghost)
Age: 15
Appearance: He's a pretty generic, scrawny lookin' guy. Currently in white, gray, and see-through, though in life he had dark hair and amber eyes. Short hair, freckles, and peasant clothes.
Personality: A fairly down to earth person, realistic but sometimes bordering on pessimistic. He handles his death fairly well after all is said and done, but is eager to simply move on instead of lingering and wandering around aimlessly. He's strong willed, but only when he feels like it, when it's important; otherwise, he just goes with the flow.
Additional Info: He's a ghost. He's mostly incorporeal but he can interact with the physical plain with enough force of will. He sometimes braids Delwen's hair for her (after much cajoling on her part, of course.) Invisibility and intangibility at will are other ghostly traits he possesses.
StoryDelwen was present for Jonah's death (for reasons yet undisclosed) and, much to Jonah's chagrin, is convinced that she must help him come back to life. They travel together, following rumors, myth, and legend for a way for her to use magic to resurrect him despite his desire to simply move on.

Musings Jonah muttered quietly to himself as he walked the short expanse from the newest gravestone in the city cemetery to the road that connected it to the world. It was like a thin and weak lifeline-one that could split any moment and separate the world of the living from the world of the, well, not (living, that is). At least it would separate it here, in a small scale. Currently, Jonah was wondering if that lifeline were to break, what everyone would think. Alright, that may have been a tad mean, but Delwen wouldn't that little sharp pebble harm her blabbering lips. It wasn't that Jonah minded the tiny witch speaking, it was just that – somehow – she had gotten onto the subject of albino camels and whether or not he had ever seen one.
And, of course, she wasn't about to let his comment stop her words. "Seriously, just tell me if you've seen an albino camel."
"No. I haven't."
"Hmmm." Delwen tapped her index finger against her lower lip. Wiggling the fingers of her free hand out in front of her, towards the sky, her palm suddenly filled with crystalline water
