Welcome to my journal!
<edit>8/9/10: I'm back! I'll post about some of the stuff that went on later... first I want to feature more people! COMMENT PEOPLE, I WANT TO FILL UP ALL 15 SLOTS! DON'T YOU WANT A FEATURE?!?!?!?
In the meantime, the first 15 people to answer this journal will receive a feature where I will put his/her avatar and the three deviations I like most from his/her gallery on the list below.
If you answer, you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me in the first spot, then completing the list with 14 other people. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone!(1)
I love her work for all the wackiness and whimsy, and that little hint of something a bit darker. They (her paintings) seem like things that come out of dreams with plenty of bright colors, imagination, and heart. ~theMoondrop
is a very talented and I look forward to continuing to see where she takes her work! She's also a very nice person and tons of fun to trade with! X3 (2)
There's a great variety of mediums and subject matter in her gallery, making for a very interesting viewing! I admire !clockworkgh0st
's willingness to experiment as well as the energy and ideas that are behind a lot of her work. (3)
It was DEFINITELY tough to pick just three pieces from ~dkirbyj
's gallery; his work is fantastic. It is continuously evident that he has not only talent, but an ever present drive to thrive and improve as an artist. I enjoy the well-roundedness of his work and the fact that he has a distinct style while managing to stay grounded in the basic skills and theory that elevates art to that next level. I'm proud to feature his work here!(4)
SIGHTThe leaves had just begun changing color, and the scent of rain and burning foliage hung in the air. All around there was a peculiar sense of calm, despite the strangeness of the situation.
Little, five-year-old Uriel could do nothing but stare at the being in front of him in utter shock. True, he had seen beings like this before, but never had they been so clear as it was now.
The others had been mere glimpses, disappearing quickly or seen out of the corner of his eye - figures that he could easily pass off as figments of his imagination.
This was as clear to him as the surrounding forest around him - once a favorite playground and now a living nightmare.
The being in front of him was a transparent, ethereal creature, hovering a mere few inches off of the ground, its features a perfect mix of angelic and demonic. Despite the calm he felt, there was another part of him that didn't know what to feel; this was not a normal situation, after all, and his confusion over
SACRIFICEThe sun cast bright rays through the clouds and threw such brilliance towards the girl in front of her that she swore in that moment she wore a halo of gold. Kyarath knew, of course, that that was impossible; if anyone was going to be wearing a halo, it would be her, not the simple, if not extraordinarily beautiful, girl in front of her.
Not for the first time, Kyarath debated whether or not to take temporary human form so that she could have the opportunity to truly meet the object of her affections, but she knew that now, at least, wasn't the right time - not when she was supposed to be protecting said object of her affections from the evil that seemed to be after her.
Besides, Kyarath thought bitterly, 'though shalt not covet.'
Oh, but how she coveted the human girl's love above all else. Surely her Father could not condemn this? God was love, as were the angels that He had created. He couldn't condemn her for exhibiting and feeling the deep love that He,
HOPELESSA cold, dank shiver crept up her spine and a sour lump lodged in her throat as she gazed out from her high story window, watching as the Grim swarmed closer and closer with each breath she took.
How in Heaven's name were they to survive this? Even as guardians, their chances were slim to none.
Eri hadn't planned it this way. If she were being honest with herself, she hadn't planned it at all.
No one had planned for the borders to fail. To think, that one one weak spot could cause such a tremendous disaster.
But even then, if someone would have told her that things would come to this, her answer would have been straightforward; the Girm were bad, the Guardians were good, the Grim had to be destroyed.
Everything had been so black and white, so easy to decipher.
Had been being the key words.
Now, everything was thrown into shades of gray, and nothing was easy to decipher.
Eri felt a presence step up behind her, but she didn't startle, knowing instinctually who
Since she is so very multitalented I could have picked diferent things from her gallery, but I just love seeing her portray my characters! She's got quite a knack for that whole writing thing. Seriously though, she has a TON of potential (although I hope she won't take offense if I say some formal training and reading up might do her some good
). I look forward to when *Nessarie
finally gets around to working more on her original stuff!(5) ~shrimpmuffin

I'd be lying if I said my favorite part wasn't her DP fanart. X3 But I know she felt burnt out on that and moved on to draw things that she truly enjoyed. It's been fantastic watching her art improve and her style change and develope into something more her own---~Goku-san
is a wonderful artist so be sure to swing by her page!(10)
Because watercolor isn't a very popular medium I'm always excited when I meet other people that enjoy it and use it frequently. ~LauraGarabedian

is a lovely person and way fun to chat with. She has an awesome sense of color; I'm looking forward to seeing her explore the style she used in the leftmost piece because I think it shows the best of her work so far. :3(12)
If You CouldIf You Could.~a-lanna
If you could do it all over
would you rewrite the past?
Would you unbreak a bone?
Would you unbreak a heart?
If you could change the past that made you who you are
Would you change the mistakes that moulded you?
Undo the mistakes you learned from?
Would you say yes when you said no?
Would you say no when you said yes?
Would you fix it all to make it perfect?
Would you change your life experiences - would you undo it all to erase your regrets?
Would they result it new regrets? Would you regret the change?
Would you miss your old present? Your lost possible future?
Would you miss the old you, the you that you traded in?
If you could do it all over
would you realise that nothing is perfect?
Would you figure out that there is no escaping regret and mistakes make us who we are?
Would you find out that we need the bad to appreciate the good, we need a balance?
Would you realise
If you could
