Dear Fellow Deviants,

Hey people, I'm not going to bother being all formal and stuff because nobody cares, so here it is, plain and simple.

If you look down in that little box called "Groups" on any deviant's page, you can see the groups that they are a member of. As you can see, I'm a member of several. I watch several more. But there's a few that I hope to stay/become very active in because I think they are unique groups that, with enough good member participation can really take off and be fantastic, changing the face of not just deviantART, but maybe even the world.



#1-Hr-WRITING-Contest
Okay, maybe this one won't change the world, but I'm kind of obligated to say something about it since I'm a co-founder (j/k I luv it). Anyway, it's a good group for writers and provides an actual activity instead just a place to post pre-existing work. It only takes an hour of your time!



#Seven-Principles
Again, perhaps not a world-changer in and of itself, but I do believe Unitarian Universalism has a life-saving, world-changing message to share. If you're a UU here on dA, here's a group just for you! But even if you're not a UU, you're welcome here with us as well; UU isn't very well-known, and not typically very well understood; this is something I hope to change with this group. One thing I can promise is that it's not our goal to convert you, we simply want you to know who we are and what we do. So if you're Christian or Jewish or Muslim or Humanist or Pagan or Atheist or Agnostic or Wiccan or "I'm-not-religious-I'm-spiritual", please check it out and say hello. We highly value our inter-faith relationships!



#StoryShapers
The entire idea of this group intrigues me to no end, and it's philosophy is one that hits home for me. The main idea is to break down the pesky and inhibiting barrier between the visual and literary artists; it has developed a unique system designed to bring writers and artists together to create fully written and illustrated tales of all genres, lengths, subject matters, etc. If you've got a story idea in your head that you just don't know what to do with, or you're a writer wanting to have artwork drawn for your story, or you're itching to write something but just can't come up with a good idea and need some inspiration, or you're an artist looking to contribute to a group project, or an illustrator looking to sharpen their skills, or... well, the list just goes on and on. The goal is to create a system in which everybody will be able to contribute in some way.



#D0LLARS
A new group whose goal is to gather artists together who wish to help the world community by aiding those in need through various means, thus far mainly creating and selling art books for charity. Like I said, it's new so it's just in the early stages and no projects have been set up yet, but I'm really looking forward to it getting started. Haven't you ever thought, "I want to help, but I'm just an artist, what can I do?" Keep being an artist, that's what. If you're of the mind to help people by donating some art for sale for charity, then mosey on over, join, and wait for the fun to start. :3
